Condition

Support when change unsettles your sense of direction, identity, or stability.

Even wanted changes can bring grief, uncertainty, stress, or a loss of familiar roles. Care can help you understand what the transition is asking of you and move through it with greater clarity.

How it may show up

  • Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unlike yourself
  • Anxiety about decisions or what comes next
  • Grief connected to endings, moves, or changing relationships
  • Identity shifts during school, career, parenthood, caregiving, or retirement
  • Sleep, concentration, or motivation changes
  • Difficulty adapting routines or asking for support

What evaluation considers

Transitions can intensify existing anxiety, depression, attention difficulties, or trauma responses. Evaluation considers the timing of symptoms, the meaning of the change, available support, and whether another condition may also be contributing.

This information is provided for educational purposes and isn't intended to diagnose, treat, or replace individualized medical advice.

You don't have to have everything figured out before asking for help.

Start with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and a clearer conversation about what you're experiencing, what might be contributing, and what options fit.

If you need urgent help
